“I that speak unto thee am He”

The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. John 4:25-26

The Samaritan woman was telling and waiting for the coming of the Messiah, the Christ who will tell all things. This person has the power to unfold the mysteries of life. He is the wisdom of God who was incarnated in the flesh to become a man like us.

Jesus Christ rides and resides on his words. His spoken words are life and spirit. Every word He spoke vibrates with power, giving life and power to everyone who hears His everlasting words of truth.

Jesus told the woman that the one who speaks to her is He. Notice the emphasis on “who speaks to you, am He”and not on who appears to you,am He. Hearing Him speaks builds faith because He is the Logos (Word) of God from the beginning of time. All things were created through Him by the power of His words.

How do we know the words we hear are His words? Your spirit will bear witness with the Holy Ghost that the words are His. The Truth will always be the Truth. The Way will always lead you to the right way and the Life will never die to accomplish His purpose for each and everyone of us. You know Him not by sight but by listening to Him as He speaks to your heart and soul.

The negative force of this world is full of lies and misinformation. The father of lies is on the attack against light of Truth. You choose who to believe. The decision is yours between light and darkness. Some media outlets are twisting the truth about Christ. We shall stand firm upon His spoken words in the gospels.

The CRAP of this world.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Matt 6:13

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation:the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. Luke 8:13-15

The seeds that fell on the rock are those who heard the word, believed for a while but had fallen away during the time of temptation because they have no root on a fertile ground. Rock has many uses, you can build an edifice on it or out of it. Solid rock is desirable and a good foundation for building projects. However, it is not not a good place for any seed to grow.

Jesus wanted us to pray that our Father will not lead us to temptation. Our Father knows our strength and ability. He has the knowledge about our past, present and future. God does not need to test us for Him to know whether we are for Him or not.

Our Father did not test the loyalty and integrity of Jesus. He was tempted by the Devil in the wilderness and He overcame all temptations of the Devil. The temptation itself enters our minds for consideration, begging to agree with its evil proposition. We are tempted to do bad things and not the do good things in line with the divine principles of our Father. In case we fall short in doing the things Jesus wanted us to do and begin considering doing which is evil, pray that our Father will deliver us from evil thoughts.

We are not sinning while we are in temptation. Jesus did not sin when he was tempted by the Devil. Our minds are open all the time to different temptations. The Spirit with our spirits is willing to submit to God the Father but the flesh is weak to temptations. In fact, our flesh is the source of temptation. Our flesh is inflicted with many thorns of temptation.

Jesus spoke of the “CRAP” of this life which are the cares, riches and pleasures of this world. They are like thorns of temptation choking those who heard then gospel and become unfruitful in their quest for a better and meaningful life. CRAP is a vulgar word, a slang for junk, something extremely worthless and of poor quality.

People do care too much about what they eat or where they shelter their heads The rising cost of living is becoming out of their means to take care of themselves.

The unbelieving person does not experience temptations from the devil. An evil person does not need to be tempted to do the right thing. So no wonder they have no conscience to abhor the things which are evil. Be thankful if you fall into temptation for you know you are doing right and the favor of God belongs to you.
