Two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying,
“Son of David, have mercy on us!”
And when He had come into the house,
the blind men came to Him.
And Jesus said to them,
“Do you believe that I am able to do this?”
They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”
Then He touched their eyes, saying,
“According to your faith let it be to you.”
And their eyes were opened.
And Jesus sternly warned them,
saying, “See that no one knows it.”
But when they had departed,
they spread the news about Him in all that country.
Jesus has the infinite ability to do things according to our faith. The possibility is limitless to whatever our minds will take us to accomplish. This is more than positive thinking, this is small active (living) faith in what Jesus can do for you. The world is mocking us for having a “blind faith” in Jesus Christ. We would rather be blind with soaring faith than faithless walking dead.
The story tells us that two blind men followed Jesus. Realistically, how can the two blind men were able to follow Jesus? They must have mental GPS to follow someone. Their minds were good breeding places for all possibilities. No one can limit their minds on what to think for Jesus had occupied their imaginations. They cried for mercy and they got it from The Lord. Everyone on earth has the ability or capacity to find God.
Shall we close our eyes for a moment to think about Jesus? Be conscious of Him. Follow your heart and soul in loving Him. Do you think you can follow Him without seeing Him? Indeed, multitudes of people from around the world had testified and followed Jesus without the benefit of seeing with their eyes. The two blind men who found Jesus with their extra perception (spiritual radar) gave credence to the fact that it is more blessed to believe on Him even without seeing Him in person.
Jesus declared many “I AM’s” in His teachings . “I AM ABLE” is one of them.
He is able to do this (you may fill the blank) according to your faith. Please, don’t force yourself to have a big faith. The size of your faith does not really matter. A faith small like a mustard seed is good enough to accomplish something. The question is whether He is able or not. Well, since He said that He is able, we’ll just believe on what He says.
