A Servant when He comes.

Therefore also be ready,

for in an hour that you don’t expect,

the Son of Man will come.

“Who then is the faithful and wise servant,

whom his lord has set over his household,

to give them their food in due season?

Blessed is that servant whom his lord finds

doing so when he comes.

Matthew 24:44-46

Jesus is coming soon whether we believe it or not for that was His promise. Heaven and earth shall pass away but His words not pass away without fulfilling them. We don’t know when He is coming back on earth. It is His business to get His own (Rapture) and evidently not our concern to know when and where will this event going to happen soon. The taker knows when he would take his own, the object of his love.

The second coming of Christ is more than a church doctrine. It is a divine promise being  fulfilled  every minute. If we believe on His words and He didn’t return again, we lose nothing but if we doubt His soon return and He comes back to fulfill His words, great will be our lost.

Why should we worry about His return? We must not worry about His coming. As long as we obey His commands, we are safe and secured about tomorrow. If after faithfully following His words, we are still left behind when raptures come, we will continue obeying Him. Our trust in Him is unconditionally committed to Him. We give Him the right to take away what He wants for He is our sovereign King.

Lastly, His call is “ Who then is the faithful and wise servant?” We don’t need professional clergy who are so conscious on worldly and honorific titles such as the reverend, the doctor, the bishop or the pastor. Be a faithful servant is enough to make our Lord joyful at His coming.

The world needs faithful and wise servants of His will. Servants who are obedient to His words. Jesus said, “Blessed is that servant whom his lord finds DOING so when he comes.” Are you a servant?

Born of the Spirit (Part 2)

The term “born again” is an evangelical lingo commonly used by the church. The doctrine of new birth is quite problematic. There are several unanswered questions about being born again such as how many times a person can be born again?

Does a baby needs to be born again?” and does everything become new when you are born again?. How about the old bad habit of smoking? Does it need to go immediately after new birth? What period of time a person is really, a born again christian?

Many christians are not believable anymore because of their false claim that they are new people when they experience the new birth. Their lives are contrary to their claims. By their fruits you can know them for their actions speak more than their words. There are criminals, crooks politician or abusive clerics on the loose who are claiming born again people.

The Apostle Paul had this weird idea of being a new creature in Christ that everything becomes new, everything in his life has passed away, old habits and all. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

He teaches that we can change anytime we want, we can put on and off our “new man” in lieu of the “old man”.(Ephesians 4:21-24)

Some theological/religious concepts can ruin our lives when they are not based on the spoken words of Christ. We must stick to the verbal words of Jesus Christ for proper guidance. Christian testimony of being born again has damaged their credibility due to the influences of many churchmen pretending to be an authority of the Bible.

Jesus talked about being born again as a spiritual birth. He explained that we must be born of the Spirit to see and enter the Kingdom of God. We must be born of the Spirit. It is entirely the work of the Holy Spirit. Only the Spirit knows when a person is born again. The Spirit of God is the source of the new life. A baby does not know when and how he was born except when he is mature enough to learn about his birthday.

Born of the Spirit

That which is born of the flesh is flesh,

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Do not marvel that I said to you,

‘You must be born again. ’

The wind blows where it wishes,

 and you hear its sound,

but you do not know

where it comes from or where it goes.

So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.

John 3:6-8

Being “Born Again” is a heavenly thing which is beyond human comprehension. It can be experienced but cannot be totally explained in words. The whole thing is a supernatural rebirth from within brought about by the Holy Spirit of God. In short, it is a sacred experience that comes when you obey Christ.

When do we initially experience being Born Again? We just can’t never know. What we may know is the after effect of the experience. We become spiritually conscious, hungry for spiritual things and love God the Father who is the Spirit Divine. There must be a real change of behavior towards our fellowmen. Love is the fruit of the Spirit that dwells in us.

The Word of Christ is spirit and life. The Born Again experience must be sustained with the living words of life. It must be fed regularly with the daily bread, meditating and living by His teachings. Jesus Christ is the Bread of Life from heaven.

Then what if you were to see the Son of Man

ascending to where he was before?

It is the Spirit who gives life;

the flesh is no help at all.

The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

But there are some of you who do not believe.”

John 6:62-64

The new life may die without the words of life. Anyone who is born of the Spirit must live by the Spirit, led by the Spirit and filled with the Spirit though we are still in the flesh.

The flesh is central figure of our natural birth with help of water from our mother’s womb. However, we need to have the Spirit to be born again and be spiritually minded, regenerated through the seed of the living words of Christ.

We are not born again through a sermon or by reading the Bible. The established Church has nothing to do with our new birth. Denominations can spoil your new found birth with their polluted doctrines. Of course, we are not condemning all churches, we are just giving a friendly reminder not to believe all you hear from them about being born again.

Jesus said, You must be born again! Listen to His Words always.
