Therefore also be ready,
for in an hour that you don’t expect,
the Son of Man will come.
“Who then is the faithful and wise servant,
whom his lord has set over his household,
to give them their food in due season?
Blessed is that servant whom his lord finds
doing so when he comes.
Jesus is coming soon whether we believe it or not for that was His promise. Heaven and earth shall pass away but His words not pass away without fulfilling them. We don’t know when He is coming back on earth. It is His business to get His own (Rapture) and evidently not our concern to know when and where will this event going to happen soon. The taker knows when he would take his own, the object of his love.
The second coming of Christ is more than a church doctrine. It is a divine promise being fulfilled every minute. If we believe on His words and He didn’t return again, we lose nothing but if we doubt His soon return and He comes back to fulfill His words, great will be our lost.
Why should we worry about His return? We must not worry about His coming. As long as we obey His commands, we are safe and secured about tomorrow. If after faithfully following His words, we are still left behind when raptures come, we will continue obeying Him. Our trust in Him is unconditionally committed to Him. We give Him the right to take away what He wants for He is our sovereign King.
Lastly, His call is “ Who then is the faithful and wise servant?” We don’t need professional clergy who are so conscious on worldly and honorific titles such as the reverend, the doctor, the bishop or the pastor. Be a faithful servant is enough to make our Lord joyful at His coming.
The world needs faithful and wise servants of His will. Servants who are obedient to His words. Jesus said, “Blessed is that servant whom his lord finds DOING so when he comes.” Are you a servant?
